From the little I've seen of the reputation bar, it's affected by actions only on community lots, right? I know that when one of my Sims gossiped on a community lot, I got a message about reputation (game tips were still turned on). So in this case, did Nate get a bad reputation in his college dorm, or did that not count as a community lot? Do only the places they can visit but not sleep at count as community lots?
And from the little I remember of reputation, since I'm not one to normally take my Sims to community lots unless they need new clothes and I feel like taking them out on a trip, or if they want to go out to dinner on a date, it went into the red if they began to get a negative reputation, right? Was Nate fully in the red btw? Does bad reputation go down overtime, kinda like negative relationships decrease in number as days pass even without you speaking to the Sim who's your Sim's enemy?
I believe he got his bad reputation form being a douchebag on community lots, yeah. He was just autonomously mean to everyone he met. I'm pretty sure only community lots count, but I can't for the life of me manage to get the Good Reputation want fulfilled on them. Like, Dawn has one right now, but it won't fulfill her want. It's really dumb.
I like to take my sims out on community lots because they tend to be super amusing when socializing. I use a shop at home hack for clothes though, since going to community lots for clothes feels like such a bother. I'm not sure, but I do believe his reputation got a little better when he got older. Although, it was still in the "lousy loser" stage.
Well, according to the surprisingly little I'm finding on the subject through Google, doing stuff like greeting Sims nicely, Appreciating them having a good Talk with them. Well, here's the page on the topic if you want more details:
I believe I remember Nate getting some negative networking in a few of your entries. My founder and some of his kids have gotten a bit of positive networking lately. Like when a Sim suddenly tells you they're your boss' cousin and you're getting a promotion the next time you go to work. Stuff like that.
LOL, Nate, no big surprise there, the poor sap. I might take my Sims downtown to see if I can work on a bit of reputation myself.
As it turns out, Dawn is literally 1 point away from being a Sociable Celebrity, which I guess is what the Good Reputation want needs to be fulfilled?? That's kind of silly, but alright.
Yeah, he got pretty much the opposite of that, haha. Got demoted once, I think.
All it tells me is to do friendly actions with other sims. Just that. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be fine now that I know she'll probably get it eventually.
Good luck! Btw, unrelated to this, but can I upload some of my founder's kids for you? I'm curious to see if they'd be compatible with any of your Sims. I could upload some of their kids too once they become adults.
Oh, sure~! They'd have to go into the nieghborhood specifically for downloaded sims though, where my other legacy is at. You might not see them for a little while then, but I'll be sure to play it a little. c:
Oh btw, I meant to ask, what happens when you're at gen 9 of a legacy? Do you pick an heir for gen 10 or do you just send them to university and then have them come back and that's the end of it?
I kind of really want to send the tenth generation kids to college for the ~full experience~ and end it shortly after they all return home, but only pick one for the final heir for generation ten. Anyone can do whatever they want though for their last generation of kids.
